Therefore, at this stage the editor will remove most of the errors, but not 100%. ***** PROOFREADING is a second look at the text 👉 The purpose of proofreading is to correct errors that were missed at the editing stage. Most often, these are punctuation errors, spelling errors and any typos. 👉 I also check the so-called typographical errors, such as text layout on the page, margins, paragraph indents, font and font size, hanging conjunctions, etc. 👉 The editor does the most work.
